"When The Downside Is Death, The Upside Is Life Itself"

Did I mention I love taking risks? Well I do. And sometimes I'm taking the risk without getting any productive reward. I do it just for fun. This draws me to extreme sports. I don't do it too often, and I'm not taking huge risks when I do, but I love the thrill, the adrenaline, the rush. Here's what I do in this area, or have done at least once:

- Snowboarding: I've been snowboarding since 1998, about a week a year in the European Alps, and then a couple of times more in the Israeli Mount Hermon, when it snows. I'm not a freerider that jumps off helicopters on top of virgin-snow mountains, and not an urban tricks freestyler kind of boarder. I love both the speed and jumping. Yup, that's me in the photo scan above, taken about 5 years ago.

- Motorcycles: I'm not a biker. I don't have a fetish for Harley's and never drove over 130 kmh. Well actually, my good friend Gur once took me for a 240 kmh ride on his sports monster. But I do drive a 200cc scooter, and I drive like crazy. Not too crazy, just enough to get my blood pumping. While writing these lines I'm healing from an injury. I crashed my bike last week into a car. It's totally lost. Not my first accident, but for some reason I never broke any bone. I think I'm unbreakable :-)  [Update: the bike is total lost. Looking forward to my next 650cc :)  ]

- Sky diving: This is one of the things I wish to do regularly. I have done only 1 tandem dive, and that was one hell of a jump! It was a 50 seconds free fall before the parachute opened up, and that makes a 50 seconds scream of fear and joy (they always come together for some reason). I'm sure I'll go through the entire licensing course in the near future.

- Car racing: Nope, I'm not a race-car driver, but if you ever saw me driving a fast car, you'll understand. My old friend Ram used to be my colleague for mad driving, including this one time I was laying on the hood of his car while he drove the freeway.. not too slow. I myself never drove over 200 kmh. What can I do? I ran out of speedometer!

- Others: I used to skateboard when I was a kid, I had my scuba diving experiences, and others. Just this week I was invited by my good friend Amit to join him wave surfing!
