About Me & Entrepreneurship
Three roads diverged in the high-tech woods: professional, management and entrepreneurship, and I chose.. all three!! I always feel I haven't done enough entrepreneurship to call myself an entrepreneur, but then again, who has?
My first venture ever was when I was about 9, selling Guava fruit by the kilo, which I had earlier picked from my aunt's tree. The second one was collecting free newspapers from sidewalks and selling them for almost nothing. Then there was the neighborhood car wash service, the pyramid, software distribution in mid-schools, Tetris tournaments, and many more hind-sightly stupid ideas until I was like 18.
The years of 1995 until 2005 were frustrating for me in a way. I was focusing on technology and management, but had a new startup idea every day. Many of these ideas became successful businesses.. by others.
So in the past 3-4 years I've been experiencing entrepreneurship to the core. Focusing on Internet business models, I found myself working triple extra hours for no money at all, but having the best time of my life. I have gained experience in the financial world, business world, and of course the Internet. I started Cartly, an online grocery comparison engine and Altrena, an Internet investment fund with a unique ROI assessment model.
I'm sharing some of my own viewpoints about aspects in entrepreneurship in my entrepreneurship blog: "Entrepreneurship Has Its Curse".
I see entrepreneurship as one of the most fulfilling creation experiences, and so I hope to continue doing it for the rest of my life.
