Paul Gauguin, Behind You! (NOT!)
As implied all over this site, I love creating things, and what better way is there to create things than.. well.. creating them?
When I was young I loved reading comic books - Batman, Spiderman, Ninja Turtles, Zagor, and oh so many others. I always wanted to be able to draw like in the comic books. Then I met (later to be my best friend) Adar, which although he was only 7 years old, he drew just like in the comic books. He had talent. Talent I have not seen anything close to ever since.
And so, inspired by Adar, I started drawing. Looking back it was all kind of.. amateur so to speak, but I really enjoyed drawing and seeing the results. I could work for days on a single drawing, and if I didn't like the result, the paper would find itself on its way to the trash can with no hard feelings. I loved drawing heroes (Masters of the Universe style, if you know it), monsters, dragons and all sort of imaginary friends. When I was about 14 I tried sculpting for the first time, and liked it too.
I usually don't have the chance to practice drawing or sculpting, but when I do it feels like I'm in another world. I'm extremely patient, and can be focused on my work for hours without being interrupted.
Below are some examples of what I've done so far. Yeah, I know, but it doesn't suck in my eyes :-)
